Haere Mai & Welcome is a creative community initiative designed to give new residents all the information they need to find their feet in their new neighbourhood.
Choose your neighbourhood.
Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland is changing; the changing demographics, the changing communities as well as the intensified built environments and diverse neighbourhoods.
In 2020, with a focus on Glen Eden, the Westlight apartments
added many more people to the Glen Eden community.
In 2022, with a focus on Mt Roskill, the Roskill South Developments
will add many more people to the Roskill community.
In 2024, with a focus on Oranga, the Oranga Development
will add many more people to the Oranga community over the coming years
At a neighbourhood-level, in collaboration with the local community groups, businesses and residents, who would like to do our bit and extend a warm welcome
to the newcomers

A Goody Bag
First, we’re putting together a goodie bag filled with discounts and promotions from local business…
A Guide Map
Plus, we’ll include a map of the local area with a directory of a few local businesses, community groups and social services around the neighbourhood.
A Get Together
A little further down the track, we’ll be organising a welcome event for new and current residents to come along and get to know each other.
But what we’d really love right now, is for you to get involved!
In 2023/24, we’re co-creating with the Oranga community!
